About Pastor Crosswhite
Pastor Miysan T. Crosswhite was elected as the shepherd of St. Luke United Church of Christ in March 2026, bringing with him a heart for the community, a passion for Scripture, and an unwavering commitment to empowering the people of God. Pastor Miysan T. Crosswhite is a preacher, teacher, and author, inspired to tell the world about the glory, power and love of God.
He is also the founder of Believers Life Ministries International; formally based in Mobile, Alabama before moving to Virginia. Believers LIFE has assisted in planting churches, conference teachings, preaching and technological consultations to uplift ministries and churches.
Pastor Crosswhite has assisted in planting churches in Mobile, AL, New Orleans, LA, and Pensacola, FL. In 2015, Believers LIFE expanded internationally by the grace and glory of God, to begin working with a local pastor in Pakistan to preach the Gospel to that region of the world through preaching videos and Skype Virtual teachings. Pastor Crosswhite's video sermons were converted to Urdu, the local language of Pakistan, and those videos have been traversing the region — reaching over 200+ villages and counting, reaping a harvest of over 2,000+ conversions to Christianity!
Pastor Crosswhite genuinely believes in a ministry of service and servant leadership. Through his extensive God-designated assignments, he has been able to work across denominations, believing that our shared belief in Christ should guide us towards a shared unity in the faith. In 2016, Pastor Crosswhite published his first ministry book, "Leading Edge: Sharpening Ministry to Edify the Kingdom of God" — a book birthed out of seminars and church leadership conferences throughout the U.S.
As well as ministry and writing, he also leads a highly productive professional life as a Software Engineer, graphic/web designer, and tech consultant. He is a husband to Costelethia (Cossie) Crosswhite and father of five children (Julius, Josiah, Jeremiah, Joshua, and Jillian) — a wonderful and vibrant family.

As the leader of St. Luke UCC, Pastor Crosswhite is committed to continuing the rich legacy of faith and service that has defined this congregation for over 150 years. He envisions a church that is deeply rooted in Scripture, actively engaged in the community, and radically welcoming to all who enter its doors.
Under his leadership, St. Luke strives to be a place where people encounter the living God, experience genuine community, and are equipped to go out and make a difference in the world around them.
Family of Faith
Pastor Crosswhite is married to the beautiful and wonderfully talented Lady Costelethia "Cossie" Crosswhite — an accomplished singer, songwriter and musician within the Gospel music industry. She is a classically trained vocalist and pianist who has performed and toured in the U.S. as well as internationally, and has previously served as Minister of Music, most recently at First Church of Christ Holiness USA. She also holds the distinction of being the District Minister of Music for the Virginia Beach COGIC District.
Lady Crosswhite has served as minister of music for several churches throughout Virginia, Alabama, Kentucky, and Ohio; organized, performed, and taught many music workshops; and served as a teacher and evangelist of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in many conferences and workshop settings.
With her musical talents, Lady Crosswhite is also an established entrepreneur and business owner — the founder of 1 Elegant Event Wedding and Event Planning, recently rebranded as "Celebrate with Cossie", as she has become a tastemaker and influencer throughout the Hampton Roads area.
Together, Pastor and Lady Crosswhite have five children: Julius Irijah (26), Josiah Elijah (25), Jeremiah Alexander (23), Joshua Hezekiah (21), and Jillian Mozell (17).
